Sex & Nudity

  • There are no sex scenes in this game. There is one female character in particular who wears a very skimpy dress and a lot of detail has gone into animating her breasts and legs, but it is not as over-the-top and tasteless as many fighting games depict their female characters. This game also gives you the option to bath your characters, but you only see submerged in water from the chest up (no nipples). Any dialogue references to sexual relationships or sexual interest is kept extremely mild, and is only suggestive in a friendly, not at all explicit manner, and even when these rare scenes do occur, the characters are told off by their friends for it.

Violence & Gore

  • This game is depicted in a war situation and contains a lot of sword fighting, but there are absolutely no bloody or gore effects. There are some dark moments, and the graphics and animation are quite detailed. But the combat scenes are very mild compared to a lot of video games. Also, with this being a fantasy, a lot of the violence is caused by magical powers. For the most part, the theme and atmosphere seems darker than the actual visuals.

Profanity

  • The word "bastard" is used quite a lot in this game, and actually spoken aloud by voice actors as well as appearing in text boxes. There are not really any other swaer words. Quite a lot of threats are used, which include threatening to kill someone.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is one scene when a group of characters are given food that has been drugged. The drugs only cause them to become drowsey and confess their intentions in a weakened state. They are not tied up or forced to endure anything else against their will. There are also scenes of rowdy pirates, and references to being of the right age to have a drink.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are many intense animated scenes in this game as you progress with the story, including people dying painful deaths from magical powers and people being killed by soldiers. There are several references to people losing loved ones, such as a spouse or a child, and there are also a few strong references to physical discipline. There are scenes and other references of people being forced out of their homeland on pain of death. Some of the darkest moments of the story include a magical power that gives off a frightening shriek, and also causes certain characters to have nightmares and hallucinations. One of the main villains has cut off his arm, but you don't actually see it happen - it is just hinted at in the dialogue. There are many weird looking fantasy monsters in this game, which have slightly cartoony features. A lot of the villains' voices sound quite menacing.
