Sex & Nudity

Altogether two strong sex scenes (both consensual). There are also prevalent sexual themes throughout the series including nudity and even references to rape in the early and latter episodes.

A girl is teleported completely naked. A character takes her to rape her, but is stopped.

Throughout the anime, we often see a girl completely naked. The breasts are seen clearly, and also in the foreground.

In the first episode the protagonist sees the girls in his class naked.

In the episode 5 Kurono tries to have sex with Kei, he's about to, but stops, since Kei isn't ready (no nudity).

Violence & Gore

Gantz is a very violent anime, and is intended only for adults.

In the first episode the main character dies by a metro hitting him. His head is clearly shown flying with lots of blood.

When they fight with the aliens, there is ALWAYS a lot of violence, gore and blood.

Limbs get cut off, heads explode due to bombs being set inside the players heads and once a girl's body melts, because an alien threw some kind of strong acid. Her insides (intestines and all) melt away. A gruesome and vomit inducing scene.

A very disturbing and graphic scene, where some players torture and mutilate a young alien boy to death. They shoot it's legs and arms off, which makes it squeal and rave a lot. Finally they let it off it's misery, by explicitly shooting it's head, which then explodes in a gory fashion.

A big alien guy chops off people half with his razor sharp claws, and goes on a rampage, because the culprits brutally murdered his child.

An alien scream causes a player's ear-drums and eyes to pop. Blood spurts out of the respective areas.

Some fights, extremely gory and bloody.

Very strong violence, blood, gore, murder, mutilation and carnage remains a constant throughout the series. This totals 33 human deaths (discounting those who die twice in the series)

Frequent strong language throughout the entire series (the English audio dub contains even more excessive and crude language).

Several characters smoke, but not gratuitously.

Some alcohol and drinking.

No drug use is present in the series (except in the manga there is a lot of drug usage and references to such content)

Much of the violence is so evil and extreme that it is sure to turn many stomachs.

Vicious monsters, aliens and various incarnations are one of the central themes of the series.

The aliens are all very nasty looking, or just plain terrifying.

A very dark and twisted show, with a comic book series (manga) that is even more brutal, offensive, and scary.
