The singing contest for non singers
ryanbain14 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This BBc teatime treat was a talent show with a difference...48 singers who can't singer compete to win the title of 'Can't sing Singers'...ie. the most improved. Each group is area based, London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Liverpool and compromised of 12 singers. The weekly episodes follows the hopeless heroes as they attempt to become a vocal group for a one night live televised final. Each team had their own coach, Daniel in London {Gospel based, crazy guy}, Sheridan in Birmingham {Musical based, overly emotional}, Shauna in Cardiff {Choir mistress, unconfident} and Jennifer in Liverpool {Dance/soul diva, strict}. The series followed the singers individually and as a group singing in pubs, stadium's, shopping centres etc. Some Individual singers were extremely good, though others stunk!!! A week before the live final the groups were given an additional song to learn, that they had to sing live. So the night of the final saw the lovely Lorraine Kelly host as the four groups sang " big" Christmas Numbers live to the nation. Carrie and David Grant gave their expert opinion, but the audience at home had the final say and voted for...Birmingham to win. The show was cheap but pleasant, and all the competitors deserve credit for having the "balls" to sing live, can't see lots of todays so called Popstars doing that!!!
