The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

5/10

A woman is sitting in front of a mirror only in her bra and underwear, after which she puts on a dress.

Three men threaten a woman and one holds her around the throat while another begins unfastening his pants, implying that they are going to rape her, but it is interrupted. We see a man in his jockey shorts after his pants have been slashed and have fallen to the ground around his ankles.

We see several women in a dressing room wearing theatrical dance costumes that include thong bottoms that reveal fishnet stocking-covered buttocks.

A Bishop enters a room where a woman is dressed up like a little girl; he tries to reach up the woman's dress, pushes her back on a bed and tries to kiss her (please see the Violence/Gore category for more details). He is interrupted before anything goes further.

A man is bare-chested with a towel wrapped around his waist.

We see photographs, briefly, of people involved in sex acts -- one is of a person biting another, and one shows a close-up of bare buttocks -- but it is not clear who the people are or what exactly they are doing.

Two women kiss tenderly, and then passionately. A woman writes about coming out to her parents about being gay and that they shunned her.

We see many naked corpses being tossed into a ditch (male and female genitals are visible at times but are not in clear line of sight). There is later a shortened flashback to this scene.

Violence & Gore

8/10

Two men get beaten with punches, kicks and throws while their attacker is holding a knife. This is comic-like.

A woman is injected with poison, then shown dead.

A man walks burning from a fire, his skin is completely burned and he shouts.

An open grave with heaps of naked dead bodies is shown.

A young girl is shot briefly.

A woman's head is shaved and she claims that people tortured her after that.

A man is hit in the jaw with a gun. His face is bloody, and he is hit again leaving another bloody mark. A black bag is put over his head.

A man is shown with a bullet wound in his forehead and blood on his face.

A man is shot numerous times (in slow motion).

A man is strangled and then has his neck broken.

A man kills 8 men in the following ways:

.a throat is slit blood sprays out.

.a man is stabbed in the chest and blood flies out entry and exit wounds.

.a knife hits a man in the head.

.a man's chest is sliced multiple times.

a man has his west slit, stabbed in groin then stabbed in the chest.

several real rebellion flash backs are seen. many people are beaten by police. several dead bodies are seen with shots of blood. people throw things and set things on fire.

a brief flash back of V being electrocuted.

2/10

Two detectives smoke cigarettes. A man smokes a pipe, another smokes a cigar.

Legal and illegal drugs are shown in a medicine cabinet.

7/10

The implied torture (and the interrogation shown partly on screen) may be found upsetting.

The head shave scene is kind of unsettling.

The overall tone of the movie is quite dark, and the plot revolves around a terrorist.

A few emotional scenes.

V's death is very emotional.

A bishop is shown to be both a rapist and a pedohebephile.
