Godra is still alive...
5 February 2007 | by See all my reviews

There is nothing very special about Parzania. I liked it as its like one of those rare kind of in Indian film industry. And its also a first movie on 'Godra'.

The irony with our Indian cinema is that there are hardly good movies on such issues like partition, '84 riots, Bombay Blast etc. There are few by our 'great directors' like Garam Hawa, Junoon et all but they are not easily accessible to the normal audience. When it comes to normal audience then its comes in the form of Machis, Gadar, Bhagat singh... 'Andhi' was one of those rare movie that actually reached to people. So now I am bound to like Parzania....

Parzania is dramatic and loud but still it is not direct as compare to Black Friday(I personally believe… it doesn't make much difference) Black Friday is on a realistic note and (try to) shock the audience with those 'never-said' kind of facts but still it fails (at least to me) to depict a valuable relevance/reason of portraying the whole episode in a crude way whereas Parzania just does the opposite but still wins!!!!

Cinematically speaking. Parzania is a good piece of work...

Now parzania is also not easily accessible to our 'innocent' Indian audience because of 'n' reasons. One major reason is the language but still its not a bad movie if we want to cinematically archive the incident like 'Godra' for internal consumption and also for international consumption.

hmm.....that's it.. I guess!!
