When Abbey School gets a connection to the information superhighway, computer nerd and video game freak Josh Allan and his bookworm best friend, Tamsyn Smith, sign up to write a report on the new connection. As they begin their research on electronic mail, they get a message from a mysterious Internet user, ZMASTER, welcoming them to the Internet. Tamsyn puts up with ZMASTER's silly notes, but when she receives a message calling for help, it's up to her and Josh to find and save ZMASTER before time runs out. Internet Detectives: Net Bandits is based on the book of the same title by the author Michael Coleman. Written by
If you enjoy movies done by top-notch directors with top-notch actors in them and an unlimited budget, this may not be the one for you... it is not that kind of movie. But considering that this movie was directed by a 15 year-old, and the actors were local friends of his, it is very well done. True, there are not great special effects, but considering the budget they are not bad. And yes, Tom Hanks is not the lead role, but seeing as how these actors are random friends of the directors, they did a very good job. I would be interested is seeing some other feature films done by a 15 year-old; there are probably not too many around. With those circumstances, 9/10.
