Storyline

The sky is literally falling in this thriller as one of the nation's leading astronomers, Madison Kelsey believes she is tracking a huge rogue asteroid rocketing toward earth. However, she can't get anyone in authority to take her seriously because the mysterious asteroid exists only in the mathematical calculations of her computer program and it's not yet visible. With only hours remaining until probable impact, Madison enlists the aid of discredited former Air-Force Colonel, Richard Donovan. Together they hatch a plan to resurrect a mothballed military laser in order to blast the asteroid out of the sky before it destroys the planet. The only problem with their plan, the laser is under guard in the middle of an Air Force base and the guards have orders to shoot to kill. Written by Lindsay James

Terrible
4 March 2007 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Worst film I've seen since the Wickerman remake(Nicolas Cage, what are you doing!!). If you haven't got the budget to make a disaster movie, don't bother. Acting was awful, directing was terrible, didn't even feel like a disaster movie! Sorry you film makers, you need to try much better! If you want to make a disaster movie, generally it will be cheesy unless the world blows up as an outcome but modern day movies need to try a lot harder to get my vote. My favourite movies are Wickerman(original), Dead Man Shoes, Lord of the Rings(I've let some of the poor effects go as it's awesome),Of Mice and Men, Shawshank Redemtion and Batman Begins. I've recently learnt that I'm pretty hard to please with films but I'm sorry but this film wasn't my thing! Hope someone else out there enjoys it
