i remember when the first episode was aired on Roller Coaster (a segment on ABC) and just wanted to watch it thinking it would be an entertaining cartoon. but it was way cooler than that.
i really liked the animation style used for this show and it had been the first time i had seen it used.
it is in the future where humans and dragons co-exist. humans race on dragons that go up to speeds of 200 m/ph. they use equipment to hinder their opponents and to give themselves advantages in the race. there are different racing groups as well.
Artha Penn worked as a stable boy at his dad's dragon stables and was starting to find it boring. he was flung into extraordinary adventures when he was the chosen one to ride Beaucephalis (or Beau) the black dragon of legend. he later becomes the Dragonbooster, the hero to stop the up and coming dragon/human war, to unite humans and dragons forever and to live in peace.
i did not find the voice acting annoying, the story was always cool, the world was cool.
all in all a neat cartoon. i wish there was more. 7.5 outta 10
