Funny little movie
yodas_padawan16 February 2006
Warning: Spoilers
A guy alone in his flat keeps getting warning signals from outer-space about an alien invasion. And along with a wise cracking radio DJ his suspicions grow until one night aliens invade the earth - tiny little aliens, which the guy ends up treading on and squashing without realising.

Perhaps a little long for what seems to be a punchline film. But this is a funny and well crafted little gem. The editing and sound design at the end is true genius. The special effects are old in fashion, presumably as a homage to the old style sci-fi films this is paying tribute to.

This film made me laugh at the time and I still chuckle to myself about it every so often. I wish there was more opportunity to see shorts like this one.

amusing sci fi spoof

Warning: Spoilers
This short is pretty neat. It's far more than a one joke film asthe other comment says. It's well made, well produced, it's just a shame it didn't get more of a playing.

Interesting to note that the director has actually remade this short as part of his first feature film. The remake sets a different tone and is more polished, but I have to say I prefer this version. It's like when Wes Anderson did a short version of bottle rocket that wasn't the most well made film, but was really funny and had a great tone to it, then he makes the feature length version and then cuts out a load of really funny dialogue...I'm not sure why he did that, or why the director of this film would remake a perfectly good film not so well.

As always, the original is always the best:)
