We've got your first ever look at Paul Scheuring's The Experiment, his remake of Oliver Hirschbiegels Das Experiment, which centered on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants.
Adrien Brody (Predators, King Kong), Forest Whitaker (Repo Men), Elijah Wood, Cam Gigandet (Priest, Twilight, The Unborn), Clifton Collins Jr and Maggie Grace (The Fog, "Lost", Taken) all star in the new version being sold at Afm. Check out the first ever images below!

‘Storm’ Trailer: Uwe Boll Returns to (Bad) Form

Every time that a new Uwe Boll film comes out, I watch it hoping that this will be the film in which he succeeds in blowing me away; I haven’t had that happen yet. Sure, his next release, Rampage, looks like it may be his finest work to date -- but that is like saying a small bag of garbage is better than a large bag of garbage. Our buddies over at /Film have pointed out a new trailer for Boll’s next film titles Storm, or Final Storm if you check out the IMDb page.
To be honest, with Boll’s track record of video game movies, I fully expected Storm to be about the new Blackberry phone; however, the only synopsis I could find for Storm was on IMDb and it looks like I I’ll have to wait for that Blackberry film:

Adam Sandler plays both Jack and Jill. Can an Oscar nomination be far behind?

This month's new Adam Sandler movie project to report is officially classified as set with the romantic comedy genre. Since I am such a huge fan of Mr. Sandler's material, especially the movies where he acts like an emotionally stunted man-child (oh wait, that's nearly all* Adam Sandler movies! Silly me!), I can't let it slip by my attention about the facts concerning his new project, Jack and Jill.
Variety's Tatiana Siegel, who's more polite in holding back any derision she has for Sandler, spills some facts about the movie but doesn't have more of the movie's premise save for the factoid that the SNL-er will be playing both the Jack and the Jill twin brother and sister roles in the film. How the rest of the film is shaped storywise remains a mystery for now, much like the fate of Amelia Earhart, the location of Jimmy Hoffa and

DVD Review: ‘Fear Itself’ Has a Few Highlights, But More Lowlights

Chicago – I am an unabashed junkie of anthology horror shows and will gladly debate with you why “The Twilight Zone” is the best show of all time before we get to discussing “The Outer Limits,” “Amazing Stories,” and “Tales From the Crypt.” Naturally, I was a big fan of Showtime’s “Masters of Horror” and was intrigued when a lot of that series’ major players jumped to NBC for “Fear Itself”. The show was a ratings failure and got very little buzz and the first season DVD makes it clear why. Even for an anthology show fan, this is a tough sell.
DVD Rating: 2.0/5.0
“Fear Itself” features thirteen episodes that aired on NBC during the summer of 2008. Like “Masters of Horror” (both shows were produced by the legendary Mick Garris), each episode was directed by a different horror writer and director. And like “Moh” the quality jumps wildly from episode

Maggie Grace (The Fog, Taken, "Lost") will costar with Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker in The Experiment, a remake of Das Experiment directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, which centered on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants.
I highly recommend checking out the original film as it's truly shocking, especially because it's based on a true story. Who knows how vicious and brutal Paul Scheuring's remake will be, but either way it's something to keep an eye on.

Richard Stanley to take his Vacation—with Superman

A couple of years ago, it was announced that Richard Stanley (pictured), director of Hardware (coming soon on DVD, as we first reported here) and Dust Devil, was planning to make his big-screen comeback with an apocalyptic thriller called Vacation, to star Bruce Campbell. Then the news well on that one went dry—but Fango hears that the project is back on track again, with a new star.
Tom Welling, who plays Clark Kent/Superman on TV’s Smallville and also starred in the remake of The Fog, is said to be taking over for Campbell in the story of a coke-addicted banker who travels with his stripper girlfriend to a seedy Middle Eastern resort. Their own personal problems soon pale before the disaster that strikes in the form of freak solar storms that eradicate all means of communication, leaving them stranded in an extremely hostile environment. Stanley wrote the screenplay with Maggie Moor,

Showing that no television property is immune from being remade for the big screen, the 80s police drama "T.J. Hooker" looks like it might make its way to theaters.According to Variety, Chuck Russell, who curiously hasn't helmed a film since 2002's "The Scorpion King," is in talks to direct and screenwriters are now actively working on a screenplay. Producers David Foster ("The Fog") Ryan Heppe (new "Short Circuit"), and series creator Rick Husky are shepherding the project. The trade report does not make it clear whether any studios have the theatrical distribution rights to the series, but the original incarnation

Remember "Fear Itself"? It was sort of like "Masters of Horror" but not really very entertaining. In any event the short-lived show will make its home video debut from Lionsgate in September and at the very least the box is amazing!
From the Press Release
Today's most talented horror directors and writers including John Landis (An American Werewolf in London), Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason), Mary Harron (American Psycho), Victor Salva (Jeepers Creepers), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw IV), Sean Hood (Halloween: Resurrection) and Rupert Wainwright (The Fog) have teamed up to create a unique television experience that leaves viewers with nothing to fear but Fear Itself. Fear Itself on DVD features 13 episodes, including four director's cut and five unaired episodes, from the chilling series that aired on NBC during the summer of 2008. The episodes - "Eater," "The Sacrifice," "Community," "In Sickness & In Health," "Spooked," "The Family Man," "New Year's Day,

Lionsgate has announced that Fear Itself: The Complete First Season will finally be released on DVD on September 15th. I say finally because only 8 of the 13 episodes aired on NBC during the show's initial run. The boxed set will feature all 13 episodes (4 of which are "director's cuts") spread out through 4 discs. Each episode will sport a bonus featurette titled "Recipe Of Fear" with cast & crew interviews. Box art, as well as the complete press release is below:

The actress who plays Kim in the year's sleeper hit talks about her role, working with Liam Neeson and future projects
Maggie Grace is a name and a face that you might recognize if you followed a certain J.J. Abrams series from the beginning. After getting her start in TV films like Murder in Greenwich, where she portrayed Martha Moxley, it didn't take long for Grace to find her way onto a hit series, which is exactly what she did when she landed the role of Shannon Rutherford on Lost. She's also appeared in such films as The Fog and The Jane Austen Book Club. She returned to the silver screen earlier this year with the biggest surprise hit of the year, Taken, which is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on May 12. I had the chance to speak with Grace, who plays Liam Neeson's kidnapped daughter, Kim, and here's what she had to say.
