31 August 2015 9:29 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

After being delayed due to Milla Jovovich's pregnancy, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is finally ready to roll, with production beginning later this week. To tease her return as Alice, the actress has posted two new photos on Instagram. The first shows off Alice's chest wounds, which aren't as bad as expected. Just some minor bruising and scratches. The second photo is a costume tag, which confirms what we've suspected all along. That Alice really is the hero of this franchise.

It isn't known exactly what day shooting will begin on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, but Milla Jovovich will let us know as soon as the first slate is cracked. Production prep on the 6th installment of the long-standing series began several weeks ago in South Africa, with the actress and her husband, director Paul W.S. Anderson both on location. 17 August 2015 2:19 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

As the last chapter in Paul Ws Anderson’s zombie action series edges closer to production, one of the sequel’s returning stars has opened up on the future of the franchise. Bearing the title Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, it certainly exerts a finality to proceedings, which hasn’t stopped the juggernaut series continuing after earlier sequels brandishing the equally dubious subtitles Afterlife, Extinction and Apocalypse. However, according to Ali Larter – who reprises her role as Claire Redfield – this actually is the last sequel.

“I know it is,” Larter told IGN when asked about The Final Chapter living up to its name. “We are not allowed to say one thing. I am held to secrecy, but what I can tell you is that the script is amazing. They’re really wrapping up the whole series, so that just makes it a little more poignant. To be able to come »

Sons Of Liberty: Jason O’Mara Talks George Washington And More

8 June 2015 3:32 PM, PDT | TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news »

There's something amusing about sitting down to talk to Irish actor Jason O'Mara about playing George Washington, arguably the greatest American in our nation's history, in the latest take on America's founding in the History Channel's Sons of Liberty, out now on Blu-Ray. Nationalism aside, anytime anyone takes on the task or bringing Washington to life, they take on a huge responsibility. George Washington, historically, is an anomaly; one who has as many myths and legends surrounding him to rival even King Arthur. And the comparison is fair, as many consider Washington the "American King," which would have rubbed the real Washington the wrong way.

From wooden teeth to chopping down cherry trees, the way 18th century writers painted him, Washington came off as larger than life, when really, he was a so-so general who lost more battles than he won, was deeply isolationist (preferring America to not meddle »

Charlie Clouser is a multi-instrumentalist composer, musician, producer, programmer and remix artist who has worked with some of the seminal recording artists of the last twenty years. The Hitman: Agent 47 trailer & the videogame movie problem

17 March 2015 8:22 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

There are some excellent videogame-influenced movies out there. They're just not based on videogames...

Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter: The Movie, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Doom, Doa: Dead or Alive, Max Payne, Silent Hill: Revelations 3D.

No, no, this isn’t a list of the worst movies ever made. It’s a choice selection of films from the last 20 years that have been based on videogames. And as you can see, it makes for grim reading. But why is that?

But before we get into that, some brief history.

“Videogames can never be art.”
