load of crap
8 November 2004 | by (chicago) – See all my reviews

boy howdy did this show suck. It was so stupid and I felt like the contestants were actors that were rejected from the Springer show. I live in Chicago and the one thing that p***ed me off the most about it was the guys punishment. They were supposed to sleep in tents in "the ghetto" under the el train. I live about three blocks from that location, and everything that you saw the flaming garbage cans, the tents, the abandoned cars, the garbage, etc are all props and sets. Where they shot that segment is a basketball court. ANd all that crap the contestants were saying about the neighborhood is entirely false. The basketball court is directly across the street from a huge POLICE station and next door to an upscale dogsitting service a relative owns. I was just annoyed that since Chicago is so beautiful and clean, that they had to dress up a set and shoot it in a safe neighborhood. The truth of the matter is that if they wanted to find anywhere in the city that looked that dump, they wouldn't be able to shoot there, because it really would be far to dangerous. Go to 26th and California for a terrifying location. But letting those b*tches sleep on the uncomfortable money was hilarious. late
