An L.A. judge also handed 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, a protective order barring him from coming within 100 yards from the model. The 37-year-old hip-hopster was also ordered not to have any contact with her and must turn over to authorities any weapons in his possession or sell them to a federally licensed firearms dealer. 50 Cent lost his temper in a big way last month, according to prosecutors. The 37-year-old rapper has been charged with domestic violence and four counts of vandalism for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend at her condo in Toluca Lake, Calif. According to the L.A. City Attorney's Office, police responded to a call from the residence on June 23 when Fiddy, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, had been arguing with the alleged victim and started to take his anger out on her property. Per the Lapd, his ex locked herself in the bedroom, after which he kicked down the door and kicked her, causing an unspecified injury. Authorities allege that the Get Rich or Die Tryin' rapper caused »
In the underdog vein of hip-hop stardom dramas like Hustle & Flow, Get Rich or Die Tryin', and gold standard 8 Mile, co-directors Youssef Delara and Michael D. Olmos's variation on the too-familiar subgenre (the rising inner-city superstar here is a Latina tomboy) is more heartfelt, humanistic, and entertaining than such a clichéd showbiz cautionary tale has any right to be. Or maybe those superlatives should be spit about breakout lead Gina Rodriguez, a two-fisted knockout as streetwise L.A. wunderkind Majo "Filly Brown" Tonorio, whose angriest sociopolitical rhymes have been borrowed wholesale from an uneasy inspiration: "My moms is up in Chino on a 10 count," Majo admits to her new loverboy DJ, just before her image is sexed up by a small-time producer an »
Yesterday we looked at 25 Best Original Screenplay contenders and today we turn our attention to Best Adapted Screenplay. The field here isn't as big, boasting 17 total contenders right now, but perhaps after looking over the list you'll think of a couple contenders I may have overlooked. For the time being my top five is set and at this point they really are the most obvious five though I'm sure the title I have at #6 is one many will believe deserves a spot among the top five early contenders for a nomination. Let's take a look at my five and then please share your thoughts in the comments below... 1.) George Clooney and Grant Heslov (Monuments Men) - Clearly my early year favorite is Clooney's Monuments Men. The World War II setting and the talent involved make it too obvious the choice. That said, I plan on reading Robert M. Edsel and »

Espn's Erin Andrews got some unwelcome love from rapper 50 Cent as she was on air reporting at Nascar's Daytona 500 race. As Andrews roamed around pit road looking for driver Danica Patrick, she ran into the "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" rapper.
"Of course, 50 Cent here," Andrews starts out saying. Then 50 leans in for a kiss, and Erin pulls back, offering him one cheek and then the other before his lips finally land. "I've got talk to Danica Patrick," Erin says, before aksing, "What are you doing here?"
Fifty's answer? "Enjoying myself." Indeed he is. Erin attempts to walk away as Fifty follows her. He grabs for the back of her vest as she walks, appearing to look downwards for a quick rear end checkout.
The footage was uploaded to youtube, and the internet delivered, of course, by turning it into a Gif. For your viewing pleasure, here is Erin Andrew's »
How does Rick Ross escape a shooting uninjured when he was the target? Well, if you ask 50 Cent, the answer is easy—it was all fake! The Get Rich or Die Tryin' star took to Twitter shortly after Ricky Rozay's scare to discuss his thoughts on the matter, and seeing how the two have been beefing it since 2009, it wasn't exactly a "Oh my, glad you're Ok," message. "Hahaha fat boy hit the building?lol it looks staged to me. No hole's in da car," 50 tweeted, with a photo of the Teflon Don's car (which had no bullet holes) after his crash. "hahaha that boy was spooked. I ride like Obama level 6 built proof, bomb proof, you already know," he continued. »
