Storyline

The simple idea of The Biggest Loser, familiar to dieters the world over, is that "whomever loses the most...wins." Losing weight will be difficult, though, as the 12 contestants (six male and six female) will be faced with real-life temptations that their new approved weight-loss skills and resources should help them overcome -- if they want to win, that is. A great inspiration.
4 August 2009 | by (OC, California) – See all my reviews

I despise reality shows in general and all they have to offer. But I just couldn't say no to the Biggest Loser. I think it's great that they focus on making a healthy individual and motivate them to get in shape rather than watching fake idiots on the Bachelor or Bachelorette trying to find their soul mate by making out with every contestant and contracting mono.

For those who think it's unhealthy to lose weight so fast...at least in the show it's accomplished by diet and exercise. Sure you can lose weight with pills in just as short of a time but it's extremely unhealthy that way. To be honest, I was a bit surprised to find this show has a 5.8 rating on IMDb. I was expecting more from an inspirational show such as this.
