Just What is "Dogshit" Anyway?

Here at JustPressPlay, we get a lot of solicits from independent productions announcing their latest project. A lot of them have a hard time standing out, but once in a while, there's a movie that comes across our way that's just too attractive to ignore. Yes, I'm using "attractive" liberally here—after all, the movie is called Dogshit.

Just what the hell is Dogshit? It appears to be a surreal post-apocalyptic live action-animation hybrid from director Jimmy Creamer, better known (among his subjects, I guess) as speedcore artist "ScreamerClauz." Check out the crazy synopsis of his film, then the 5-minute trailer below.

Society is ruled over by a giant dog that is using the recent surge of monster attacks to try and convince his people to sign up for "optional" brain surgery. A self appointed "monster hunter" in a pink bunny suit (Brandon Slagle - Kinky Killers, Methodic) is the

Jimmy Creamer’s Dogshit 5-Minute Trailer is …

Wow. Honestly, I don’t know what to say. It’s written and directed by Jimmy Creamer, aka ScreamerClauz, and they’re halfway through the shoot, with a late 2010 release date (around Halloween) expected. It’s … different, I’ll give it that. Society is ruled over by a giant dog that is using the recent surge of monster attacks to try and convince his people to sign up for “optional” brain surgery. A self appointed “monster hunter” in a pink bunny suit (Brandon SlagleKinky Killers, Methodic) is the only person brave enough to stand up to the creatures but soon runs into trouble when his girlfriend (Ruby LaroccaShadow: Dead Riot, Ice Cream Sunday) is kidnapped by the Macaroni Gang. He goes on a warpath through the seedy underworld of The Dog’s dystopian society while trying to fight hallucinations brought on talking worms living inside his large intestine.

Fever Dreams’ Late Fee casting call; new Damnation Pics

  • Fangoria
The folks over at Fever Dreams just dropped us a line that they’re having an open casting call for their latest venture, Late Fee. They’re seeking bodies for the wraparound scenes linking two previously completed shorts, The Pick-up and Damnation, and sent a few exclusive new pics from the latter as well (see them below).

The Late Fee concerns a couple who decide to check out their local video store on Halloween, with disastrous results. The Pick Up (which we last reported on here) and Damnation are short-form follow-ups to Fever Dreams’ previous features Flesh For The Beast and Shadow: Dead Riot respectively, both written and directed by John Carchietta and Carl Morano. The movie will receive limited theatrical release as well as DVD distribution in October. Extras are needed for Late Fee’s All Hallows’ party scene, so this is a chance to dress up in your

Ruby Larocca ('Belated by Valentine's Lover', 'Erotic Werewolf in London')

  • Planet Fury
Interview by Andrew Shearer

“If she’s a bitch, I don’t want to know.” That’s what I said to a friend of mine who shot a movie with Ruby Larocca last summer. Having been a fan of her work for several years, a champion of the goofy erotic spoofs like Sexy Sixth Sense and Erotic Werewolf In London, I couldn’t handle knowing I owned so many DVDs starring some stuck-up diva asshole. As it turned out, not only did she receive high praise from everyone involved with the shoot, but she proved to be much more than just a skilled performer. Not only did she fulfill her obligations as an actor, but she helped the crew pack up the gear and even volunteered to provide transportation at the last minute. With a decade of low-budget film making experience under her belt, it’s no wonder Ruby Larocca
