Makes Eraserhead seem like a RomCom!

This anthology consists of stories based on beliefs, legends and mysteries from four different districts of Thailand, relayed in the local dialect. With the possible exceptions of Haiti and Indonesia, these are the world's scariest...

"Phee-Phong" -- a strange tale from Northern Thailand. It is said that a magical tree called "Bat-pha" can transform into a tranquil ghost when its owners magic powers increase. The spirit remains calm until someone identifies its host body.

"Nang-Ta-Kien" -- a tale from the central region. A murder victim killed under a tree called "Ta-Kien" plots revenge against her killer...

"Prai-Ta-Nhi" -- the tale of a woman who lived in the banana trees. She casts magic spells for the man she loves. But if her love is rejected, she becomes cruel ...

Finally, a ghost in northeastern Thailand violates the rules of magic, and the soul of her teacher punishes her by cursing him as Pob – a female spirit who loves to feast on the lower intestines of the living ...
