Storyline

Reynaldo Pedro Ferrer, a former terrorist involved in the independence movement for Puerto Rico, must confront his past after the murder of his eldest son. His father, Popo, a high level member of the movement, is posing as a double agent in order to protect his family and still preserve the group's quest for freedom. Still active within the movement is Pedro, a political prisoner who is willing to die for the cause. He secretly assigns a key operative, Cesar, to Reynaldo's son, in an effort to lure Reynaldo back into the movement. Reynaldo must come to peace with his past as he attempts to avenge his son's death and save his family from ruin. Written by The Film's Producers

a story that deserved to be told
6 November 2007 | by (LA, CA) – See all my reviews

With superb acting, brilliant direction and camera-work, this fast-paced movie is a gem! The subject matter is extremely interesting and the story grabs you from the very start. This movie leaves you wanting to know more...about the characters in the film, (the old woman smoking the cigar; Carmela; Carmen; Pedro and Tomas), as well as the historical facts, rarely spoken of, concerning this tumultuous history between Puerto Rico and the U.S. I especially love the choice to include actual historical footage in the film. It plays nicely. Much to my delight, this film does not pander to the audience. On the contrary, it's a fast ride! There are a lot of players and you need to pay attention. I hope to see this film in theaters soon. It's a story that deserves to be told; one that people need to see, hear and experience. In addition, there is some very brave, honest work in this film that features many unknown actors...who will surely not be unknown for much longer! Congratulations to everyone involved!
