Great movie!!

Here After won the Grand Jury Award for best short film at the New York International Film Festival. It's by far the best movie I have seen there. It's a story of how an unexpected relationship between a desperate prostitute and a mentally disabled boy both change their lives forever.

As children Nora and her brother Ricky lived a carefree life in forest back country. Upon Ricky's birthday, she and her brother exchange gifts at their tree-house. A game of hide and seek ensues - and turns into tragedy.

Having carried around the memories of a brother she had been close to, Nora shows the marks of a soul withering away. While in therapy, Nora develops a bond with her new "surrogate" family: her counselor and her peer-patients. Via an unexpected relationship with a mentally disabled boy Nora learns to care - and live – again.

The acting is really amazing, I hope we will see more of the leading actors in the very near future. Mike Hedges
