Was not as bad as people say!

X F L Gameday was an off season football league, which gave an alternative to the N F L. Not since the U S F L has a league challenged the mighty N F L. X F L like the U S F L did not have the quality of N F L play, but was not as bad as people say! Tommy Maddox and a few other standouts went back to the N F L. Teams with names like the Memphis Rage, colors, cheerleaders gave much W W E hype! Jessie Ventura added much color. The wrestling for the kick off ball was a failure, but making extra points harder, two point conversions has been adapted by the N F L. Something to watch on a Sunday night after the N F L season. Wasn't that bad. Maybe if the X F L caught on after 3 year the leagues could have lasted. With today's 24/7 sports networks I believe X F L would survive in today's t v market. 6 out of 10 stars

This isn't your father's XFL...

Unlike the old XFL, which relied on gimmicks that would soon be adopted by the NFL such as skycam while using wrestling themes, this XFL uses real football and no cheerleaders. The kickoff is closer for safety reasons and the scoring is the same.
