The actress who plays Dudu is Nevra Serezli, the voice actor of Taci, is her husband Metin Serezli. In the show, Taci is actually Dudu's ex-husband and Betüs and Eda's father. Dudu saw him talking to a girl in a flirtatious way (or so she claims) one day and turned him into a dog. She also changed the girl he was talking to to a sidewalk stone in one of the busiest streets of Istanbul.

A modern Turkish version of 60's TV show Bewitched

"Sihirli Annem" means "My Magical Mom". The lead role is Betüs;. She is a fairy and so is her mother Dudu and 2 minutes older twin sister Eda. Betüs; and Eda's dad Taci has been transformed into a dog by Dudu out of jealousy. Çilek is the adopted fairy child of Betüs; and her mortal husband Sadik. Sadik has two mortal children from his former marriage; Cem and Ceren. Cem and Ceren's mom is dead for a long time. Perihan is an old friend of Dudu's and she is also the head fairy. Avni and Suzan are Betüs and Sadik's mortal neighbors. Avni has noticed that Betüs and her family are fairies but he doesn't have any proof and anytime he gets one they get rid of it, the only way he can prove that they're fairies is by making another mortal see them perform magic with their own eyes and the mortal he's trying to show is his wife. During that Dudu wants Betüs to separate from Sadik and come home with Çilek. She tries several spells to make that happen. At the end they always fail and Betüs keeps on with her life. The story resembles in many ways the 60's TV show "Bewitched".
