The Hills star Heidi Montag is adamant she has been targeted by an internet hacker - after a post appeared on her website claiming responsibility for starting a rumor about co-star Lauren Conrad's involvement in a sex tape scandal. Montag insists a confession claiming she and fiance Spencer Pratt were responsible for fueling rumors Conrad had made a secret sex tape was fake. The post titled 'The Truth' went live on Montag's site on Monday night, saying: "Me and Spencer did spread the false rumors about Lauren's sex tape." But Pratt tells People.com, "I don't think (Heidi) would even know how to log in to her website. I don't even know how to run that. They're trying to track down whose IP (address) it was. We got Jack Bauer on it." Conrad is at the centre of a sex tape scandal involving ex-boyfriend Laguna Beach star Jason Wahler. She has always denied the tape exists. »

Savitt will oversee production for Go Go Luckey's programming slate. He was senior vp production at Scout Prods. »
The series, which will be retitled Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County, debuts at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 15.
"It has been three years since the Stephen, Lauren and Kristin love triangle drew viewers to the real-life drama of Laguna Beach," said Tony DiSanto, executive vp series development and programming at MTV. "Now we are moving up the coast to a new town with new faces and a new high school, but with the same drama of dealing with relationships, cliques, family and friends."
Starting Aug. 15, viewers also will be able to hang out with the new cast, party, relax and shop in the same places they see on-air for themselves in Virtual Newport Harbor (www.vmtv.com).
Reality TV star Jason Wahler has been sentenced to a 60-day prison spell after pleading no contest to a battery charge in Los Angeles. The Laguna Beach hunk, 20, and model Kristin DeLuca were arrested in September following a verbal altercation with towing officials who were attempting to move an illegally parked car. Wahler punched one of the tow-truck drivers, while DeLuca kicked the tow operator and spat at him, according to a filed police report. The drivers restrained the reality star and called police, who later discovered Wahler's blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit. In court yesterday , Wahler pleaded no contest to one count of battery. As well as serving time, the 20 year old was also ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and anger management classes. Meanwhile, DeLuca also pleaded no contest to one count of battery and was sentenced to 24 months of probation and 15 days of community service. Both Wahler and DeLuca have also been ordered to participate in a one-day lecture at Los Angeles' Museum of Tolerance as penance for the racial slurs they hurled at the tow-truck operators during the assault, according to Tmz.com. It's a bad week for Wahler, who was also arrested on Saturday when he reportedly "resisted a public officer" during a raid on underage drinkers in a North Carolina nightclub. »
Jessica Simpson was devastated when she saw ex-husband Nick Lachey out on the town with another woman so soon after the couple split. The pair separated in November 2005 and Lachey was photographed soon after with Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari. Simpson tells Elle magazine, "Oh, it hurt me. Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me." The 26-year-old claims she's still in touch with Lachey explaining, "He's so much a part of my life, how could I not be? Any guy who's going to be with me from this day forward has to understand that." Simpson says she learned a valuable lesson about revealing too much of her private life from starring in the MTV reality series Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica. She adds "I let people in on who I am and how I react to my husband. That's a big deal. Celebrities don't do that. So I think they (the media) brought me down just because I stopped talking and because I have not spoken - and will not speak - about my divorce. And I think people feel like I owe them my reality right now." »
Virtual Hills will replicate the Hollywood world that the show's cast members inhabit while allowing viewers to re-create their own virtual reality, meet other fans and associate with the cast, which for the first time will be involved in curating the experience online.
"It's a virtual reality that parallels the show and a doorway where fans can literally walk through and visit that space, and when the show is over, the space remains," said Matt Bostwick, senior vp franchise development at MTV Networks Music Group.
Available for free download at www.virtualhills.mtv.com, the show's cast members will be available to guide fans in creating their "in-world" story arcs and virtual experiences. For instance, the show's Lauren Conrad, with the assistance of her friend Whitney, will launch a fashion challenge, while fellow gal pal Audrina will host concert events. »
