We saw him jumping out of a helicopter with Her Majesty at the Olympics Opening Ceremony the other day, but now James Bond is back in full-on action in the latest, lengthy trailer for Skyfall. This is our best look yet at Sam Mendes' upcoming Bond effort, and we'd say this is rather promising. brightcove.createExperiences();In the mix there you can see that Judi Dench has once again been taking the tough decisions, and has left her agents in trouble as a result. Ralph Fiennes is disapproving; Ben Whishaw's Q is introduced with a nifty gift for Bond; Naomie Harris can't quite decide if she wants to groom Bond or shoot him; Berenice Marlohe warns of danger ahead and looks good doing it; and Javier Bardem has finally found a haircut less flattering than the one he sported in No Country For Old Men. Joking aside, the »
This is a brief introduction on a series, “Mixing / Mastering”. I’ll be sharing my visions so you can feel more confident improving your mixes and go deeper on your knowledge of the subject along the way.
Mixing may seem an overwhelming task (and it is an art form by itself) but it doesnʼt mean that you cannot learn a few principles along this series to get you confident in trying it yourself and practice on your own compositions. The same applies to a musician or a composer, itʼs great to have a degree, but in case you donʼt, youʼll still be able to compose or play and get better at it. Learn to use the tools needed for the job and tune you ears into it. I hope youʼll take great benefit from the articles and they may give you extra finesse to your mixes.

Ben Shepherd, the commercial director at Sound Alliance, is leaving the company.
The former digital director at Maxus, who is a columnist on the Business Spectator, is calling time on a two and half year spell at the youth specialist to return to Melbourne.
Ryan Bernal, the general manager of Us Sydney, has replaced Shepherd in a wider role as managing director. He will report to Sound Alliance CEO and founder Neil Ackland.

Wes Anderson's latest, the love story Moonrise Kingdom, is set in the whimsical world of New Penzance, where khaki scouts led by a dedicated math teacher/scout leader, a local sheriff, and a pair of apoplectic parents set out to find two adolescent lovers who have run away on a romantic adventure in the island's thick forests. In the mix of a heady ensemble that boasts Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton, it is heralded character actor Bob Balaban who serves as the story's quirky narrator, playing the New Penzance's local historian/weather authority. His role has expanded into the film's web-based marketing, where he's guided fans through behind-the-scenes featurettes as well as the movie's lovely website. Now in the latest viral offering from Anderson.which he teased last week.we learn Balaban's character is also the local librarian, and so is the perfect person to »
Never let it be said that "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" doesn't deliver what it promises. There's plenty of salmon fishing, and sure enough, it happens in the arid, rocky Yemen region. The film tells the tale of how it happened, a majorly expensive orchestration of continental fish moving and high-stakes water management. That said, the story ends up not quite going where one may think it's headed. And that's not really meant in a good way. One-time Weinstein-driven Oscar-bait director Lasse Hallström delivers a competent, if forgettable mishmash of the unlikely. In the mix there's current events concern, travelogue escapism, and romance movie procedural. And don't forget religious axioms and terrorist intrigue. Hallström, to his credit, knows just when to spin the spinner »
Mark Millar is a controversial figure in the world of comics. With two of his comic book series (Kick-Ass and Wanted) getting glossy, star-studded movie adaptations, some comic fans have accused Millar of being more interested in making movies than books, and only doing the latter to get into the former. Millar's latest move at self-promotion further supports this claim as Heat Vision has revealed a teaser clip for Millar's latest comic series Supercrooks. Directed by Timecrimes helmer Nacho Vigalando, the video below sets up the world of Supercrooks, where a batch of supervillains decide to steer clear of an America overpopulated by caped crusaders and instead head to Europe. Supercrooks centers on a band of superpowered thieves who decide to rob a retired American supervillain in his Spanish villa. In the mix there will be two cage-fighters, a pair of brothers, the protagonist's nagging girlfriend who is a former »
