When the squad approaches a suspected vehicle borne IED one soldier asks the other "how do you set off a car bomb?" the other soldier then radios back to the crew they have a car bomb. Standard operating procedure dictates that you do not transmit within 25 meters of a suspected IED because it could detonate it
When the driver of the "suicide gas-tanker truck bomb" is finally killed by the soldiers, the tree seen outside the driver's side window isn't even passing by the semi - an obvious indication that the vehicle was stationary for the shooting of the scene.
The goof item below may give away important plot points.
During the "suicide gas-tanker truck bomb" attack and gun battle, the suicide truck takes well over one minute to drive the two blocks it is shown traveling towards the police station. Therefore it must be moving incredibly slow - quite un-suicidal-bomber-like. The truck even visibly slows as the scene progresses. In fact, it is moving so slow that after the American soldiers spot it while inside the police station; they have time to run outside, get into position behind barricades and shoot it with hundreds of rounds of ammunition, before they finally kill the driver and succeed in blowing up the truck.
