Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how much explicit content of that kind there is in the film on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the last section is the total sum of the sections over the highest sum possible (50) and is therefore an approximation of about how explicit the film is a whole.Sex & Nudity:4Some infrequent mild sexual jokes. Two scenes that involve people urinating. ne man gets so drunk he pees in a bar and the other is a boy defacing the town water fountain. There is a mention of someone "fingering" a woman.Near the end of the movie, a policeman is seen humping the air.On PC Dan Butterman's birthday, a female police officer is wearing fake breasts over her uniform while delivering the cake to him.
Violence & Gore:9The main theme of the movie is that there is a killer/s running around the town and murdering people, whenever the scene of a murder is shown nothing is left out - from burned corpses to decapitated heads and headless bodies. One man has a church spire tipped on top of him. Upon the forceful impact, his head basically explodes, causing massive amounts of blood and pieces of his head to splatter everywhere..Another trips and falls on a miniature church; the spire impales his lower jaw (blood spurts out). Two people get sliced multiple times with an axe. This is graphic and bloody. Their decapitated heads are later shown, pretty graphically. Their bodies are shown away from the heads.A man is hit on the head with a baton. His bloody corpse is dragged around. His burned corpse is later shown laying on the concrete.A woman gets stabbed with a pair of garden shears in the neck and blood spurts everywhere.A man gets stabbed through his hand by a man dressed like Father Christmas (Santa Claus).A bear trap falls and closes on a man's head. We don't see it clearly, but we see a little bloody spurt and hear it rather graphicallyA plant hanging in a metal case falls on a woman's head. Her head is crushed against a car and a little blood spurts out.Several people are shot and there are long gun fight sequences. The above blood and gore is deliberately over the top and is intended to be funny, but can be too much for the faint of heart. Most of the violent images are briefly shown, but nonetheless very graphic.
Profanity:8F*** is said about 17 times, the c word is used twice.A swear box is featured (displaying words not limited to: "s***", "f***" and "c***") each accompanied with an appropriate fine.Other sexual jokes and references.
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:3There are multiple scenes in a pub which feature a lot of social drinking. The majority of the drinkers at the pub are underage; however, a police officer throws them out.Danny tries to drive his car when drunk (after being told specifically not to by a police officer) and nearly crashes into him.Mention of a man selling drugs to children.A man gets so drunk that he pees in the pub and has to be carried home by the police. After going to the pub, a man persuades a police officer to come back to his house for a few more drinks.Several characters smoke.
Frightening/Intense Scenes:5Almost everything listed under the Violence & Gore category is very intense and sometimes frightening.Hooded figures which look like the Grim Reaper murder people, they look quite frightening. An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is a little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (i.e. Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (i.e. The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (i.e. Indiana Jones), 20-25 is going to pretty darn adult (i.e. The Dark Knight); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for anyone under 17 (i.e. THIS); 30-40 is going to be an absolutely, positively adults-only film (i.e. Saving Private Ryan) and if a movie has ever gone past 40, then I haven't heard of it.Total Explicit Content Estimation: 29/50.
