Parents Guide for
Clerks II (2006) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how explicit that aspect of the film is on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the Frightening/Intense Scenes category is the total sum of all the sections out of the highest sum possible (50) and therefore an approximation of how much explicit content of any kind is in the film.

Rating: 10/10

The Sexy Stud wearing leather chaps and underwear (he's bare-chested and part of his bare buttocks are exposed) dances around a donkey while several people watch: the Stud moves below the donkey, presumably performing oral sex on it, and then stands behind it thrusting rhythmically, presumably having sex with it.

Elias masturbates (we see him moving rhythmically and moaning).

Jay makes crude sexual comments and dances seductively while caressing his own nipples, in a reference to The Silence of the Lambs.

Jay stands with his coat open revealing his bare chest and legs and his genitals are tucked between his legs, in a reference to The Silence of the Lambs.

Jay presses his bare buttocks against a restaurant window.

Emma lifts her top to reveal her breasts to Randal (she is wearing a sheer bra).

A man dances while using a urinal in a restaurant bathroom, and his pants slip down revealing his buttock cleavage.

Elias with his pants around his ankles runs across a room (we see him in boxers and he is bare-chested).

Dante, sitting on a toilet with his pants around his ankles, opens the bathroom door and a girl eating in a restaurant sees him.

Randal makes crude sexual remarks about an alternate, homoerotic ending to The Lord of the Rings.

Randal and Elias talk about having sex with women.

Dante, Randal, and Becky debate about whether "ass to mouth" is acceptable or not.

A crude sexual remark is written on a Elias' employee photograph and then a sign that says "I eat cock" is taped over it.

It is theorized that a particular woman in the film is really nice to Dante because she has an oversized clitoris.

Two characters talk about having sex in the Mooby's restaurant, and the female character in this conversation mentions getting 'mayonnaise in (her) cooch.'

Some might be disturbed by the vast amount of sexual discussion found in the film and the bestiality show present in the film.

Violence & Gore

Rating: 1/10

Mild fighting near the end.

Profanity

Rating: 10/10

Strong language including fuck, shit, and cunt. Racial slurs such as porch monkey, nigger, and kike.

Rating: 5/10

Jay and Slient Bob sell drugs.

We are told that Elias smoked marijuana and he appears intoxicated.

Several people drink beer.

Silent Bob smokes cigarettes in many scenes.

Rating: 2/10

The Donkey Show can be unsettling.

An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is a little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (i.e. Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (i.e. The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (i.e. Indiana Jones), 20-25 is going to pretty darn adult (i.e. The Dark Knight); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for anyone under 17(i.e. Braveheart); 30-40 is probably going to be an adults-only film (i.e. Superbad). 40 and up is pretty much high R / NC-17 (i.e. Natural Born Killers, Pulp Fiction.)

Overall Rating: 28/50
