The high school satire centers on American drama teacher Dana Marszh (Steve Coogan), a guy who spends his time name-dropping about time spent on the Mrs. Doubtfire set in a desperate attempt to impress his students. Meanwhile, his marriage to wife, Brie (Catharine Keener), is crumbling away.
The film was directed by Andrew Fleming (Nancy Drew) and co-written by Fleming and Pam Brady, whose credits include South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and Hot Rod. Momentum also has acquired Hard Candy helmer David Slade's Unthinkable from Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, which also concluded sales on the title to Russia's Top Films.
