What Campus?

Hilliard "Fatty" Karr, Frank "Fatty" Alexander and "Kewpie" Ross, appear here as 'The Three Fatties' and 'Ton of Fun' in another of the series of short comedies produced by Joe Rock. They're fat, they're clumsy, they're practical jokers, and they're traveling salesmen selling unlikely goods to unsuspecting people, in a series of random gags and the occasional breaking of objects when they sit on them.

Eh. I have no idea what the title refers to. There is no college, no campus, and very few laughs. Each of the three have shown themselves to be capable performers in various roles, but this series is a gimmick one that wears out its welcome on appearance.

Not much in the way of plot and plenty of cheap laughs.

I wonder why this film was called "Campus Romeos" as it has nothing to do with a campus and there are no romeos! However, this IS the correct film, as the cast does appear to be the guys in this movie. As for the movie, it has practically no plot whatsoever--just three fat guys getting into all sorts of hijinx--with tons of weird gags and slapstick. But because there is no plot, the film has little in the way of staying value. So, if your idea of a good time is watching three extremely obese guys doing stupid things and seeing a few nice sight gags, then this film is for you! Otherwise, there are better films out there from this era and it's a pretty easy one to skip. Amiable but slight.
