Two friends and their efforts to move up the class
Kamer_Aksahin21 October 2023
A film about the efforts of poor people living on a modest street to move up the class. In the movie, we watch what two neighbor friends go through.

Selim (Ekrem Bora) is bold, fearless and has taken to illegal ways to get rich in a short time. Ali (Izzet Günay), on the other hand, is on his way to winning in an honest way. They both like the same girl (Ajda Pekkan).

Based on this story, the film shows the efforts made to move up the class in Kasimpasa, Istanbul, in 1966. The cinematographer did a nice job. The scene transitions were masterful.

PLACES: This film presents sections from Istanbul in 1966, Kasimpasa, Elmadag, Sahilyolu (Kennedy Street) and Unkapani Ataturk Bridge.

It is the first time that I see you together with Erol, izzet and ekrem. Erol and dignity, too.

Warning: Spoilers
It is the first time that I see you together with Erol, izzet and ekrem. Erol and dignity, too.

At first, it shows the old Istanbul houses. They were beautiful scenes.

Umit street is like Texas, according to those first scenes :) Fights and stuff.

It was a good tactic to pay a thousand liras and ask to do 10 thousand in 5 months. So he will choose the one that has potential.

Ekrem was in a bad role, although I couldn't understand it at first. It was bad that Erol left early.

Instead of complaining about being raped, the woman is trying to kill herself.

Izzet says make him happy instead of going and asking for an account. It was ridiculous there.

He did not kill Ekrem, he said he would.

Finally, "being happy can be achieved, although sometimes it is difficult." says. So she's dead. It can be called a happy ending.
