Shirtless Michael Fassbender Gets Crazy Sexy Without Even Trying

30 November 2014 5:23 PM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Surf's up! While American stars continued their Thanksgiving celebrations over the weekend, Michael Fassbender unleashed his hot body in Sydney, Australia. The actor spent Sunday at Bondi Beach, showing off his surfing skills and chatting up pals, including Alicia Vikander, his costar in The Light Between Oceans. At one point, Michael smiled widely while lugging his surfboard shirtless, which might not come as a surprise considering he's man enough to disrobe for the camera. Earlier this year, the actor captured our attention in a completely innocent way when he danced to Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" with his X-Men: Days of Future Past costars Hugh Jackman and James McAvoy. Prepare to be even more impressed when you see Michael in all his glory, and then swoon over his Gif guide to seduction. »

Heroes and Villains: 'Love & Mercy''s Paul Dano on Playing Brian Wilson

13 September 2014 6:00 AM, PDT | Rollingstone.com | See recent Rolling Stone news »

The guy in the short-sleeved, striped button-down shirt certainly looks happy enough, playing the bass alongside his brothers and relatives, watching the kids dance to his band's hits about girls and cars and surfing. But something is clearly troubling the Beach Boys' singer-songwriter and resident musical genius Brian Wilson, and in the film Love & Mercy, the epiphany that will give birth to both creative heights and a descent into dark times is communicated in a few facial expressions. There's the silent look of dread on Wilson's face, as hears »

'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' Test Footage Released 30 Years Later

5 September 2014 4:27 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Years before Robert Zemeckis directed the revolutionary live-action/animated hybrid Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in 1988, an earlier version was mounted at Walt Disney Studios between 1981 and 1983, which had Darrell Van Citters set to direct. Today, an eight-minute video has been unearthed that shows John Culhane taking viewers behind-the-scenes of this unmade version, which featured Paul Reubens as the voice of Roger Rabbit and Russi Taylor as the voice of Jessica Rabbit.

The video also shows a number of concept art images, that show how vastly different the earlier versions of these characters were, and we have a few split-screen photos with the 1981-1983 artwork next to the finished characters from the 1988 film. Take a look at the video and photos, then read on for more information, where you'll see that one of the animators is Frozen and Surf's Up director Chris Buck.

Why 'Point Break' Just May Be 1991's Perfect Movie

2 September 2014 8:00 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

In a crazy turn of events, Keanu Reeves is 50 years old. To honor the actor's five-decades-old milestone, we're celebrating one of his best movies, "Point Break," and explain why it fits its year of release, 1991, so perfectly.

Prior to the early '90s classic, Reeves hadn't really ventured into action movies and was best known for playing a pretty boy, high school stoner in "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989). "Point Break" would change all that. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker"), the movie paired Reeves with an established star and co-heartthrob, Patrick Swayze, fresh off hits like "Road House" (1989) and "Ghost" (1990). Together, they would create a surfing bromance too good to be true.

Set against the backdrop of the coastal Los Angeles area, "Point Break" captured the surfing culture of the region, while simultaneously depicting the criminal underbelly of the city. Los Angeles had long been the bank robbery capital of the world, »

The 'Point Break' Remake Finds Its New Bodhi in Edgar Ramirez

Surf's up for Edgar Ramirez.

Variety reports that the "Carlos" star has been tapped to replace Gerard Butler in the upcoming remake of the '90s classic "Point Break." He'll play Bodhi, the role inhabited by the late Patrick Swayze in the original.

Butler apparently had to drop out due to "scheduling conflicts," and producers Alcon Entertainment quickly jumped into action to fill the gap. "We consider Edgar one of the finest actors in the world today, and we are thrilled he will be creating a fresh new take on the iconic character of Bodhi," Alcon principals Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson said in a statement.

Ramirez will star opposite Luke Bracey, who takes on the role of Johnny Utah (played by Keanu Reeves in the original). Johnny is an undercover FBI agent who infiltrates a crime gang made up of surfers.

Take a few notes and bone up on the competition as we give you the edge in your office Oscar pool! For much of the year, the Best Animated Feature category was looking like a bit of a problem area: as one studio effort after another met with either an indifferent or disastrous reception, the threat of the weakest field in the award's 13-year history hovered in the air. In the end, however, things picked up: the Mouse House came through in November with a certifiable smash, and the Academy enriched the category by venturing further afield than Hollywood. As it is, it's a respectable enough contest, though a five-nominee field is beginning to look over-generous. The nominees are... "The Croods" (Chris Sanders, »
