Precise editing, great cinematography

Lots of the short films I saw at the Bradford Film Festival weren't exactly what I'd call short, then I came across Missed Call. It was about 2 minutes long, but still got it's message across. The concise editing got the point across well enough, there was no wasted time here! The camera-work made a small town at night look cinematic and stood out as a highly polished piece. The acting was realistic and helped the frantic pace. The sound design backed up the mood well, with panicky traffic noise adding to the atmosphere.

Interestingly the Bradford Festival showed this again, before a preview of 'Phone Booth', it was a nice prelude and a well chosen way to highlight some of Britain's up and coming talent.
