This is not the first movie about being a boy in the 60s. It is not even the first Swedish film about it. You've seen everything so many times before.
1)Young guys being sexually aroused by a beauty, whom they are many solar systems from getting.
2) Forbidden cigarette smoking.
3) A warm summer.
Well, I don't have to tell you about it, but you find all these details here. It's not the worst film ever on the subject, but it's far from the best.
The plot is however constructed in a rather clever way and in the end you have some ideas of what really happened, but there are also many alternative solutions. It starts as a comedy and ends in a dark secret. This is not the first time a film ends like that, but all right, you can sit the movie through without being ashamed.
