A pleasing release
deickemeyer10 March 2019
This is a story of two old cronies, who are chronic chess players, also, one is a bookworm and the other a staid businessman. The difficulties which arise over a borrowed book (a rare publication) which the bookworm has discovered on a book stand, creates for a certain time a serious misunderstanding between them. It is all the fault of a servant, who takes the book without permission, and, being discharged, throws it into her trunk and carries it away. Later the friends are reconciled and in the end the game of chess is continued. A pleasing release. - The Moving Picture World, October 17, 1914
