With the nostalgia-induced worldwide attractions and Ultimate DVD Collections settling in, one thing has become very clear for fans of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter franchise- the series as we know it is over. Far from letting it all end on a downer, though, we should look ahead to what the Potter lore can do for us in the future, just as Peter Jackson is bringing us new Lotr goodness every Christmas for the next three years!
Our suggestion? The next obvious route for the Potter franchise to go down would undoubtedly be that of the television industry- throughout the course of the seven novels and eight films, there were plenty of untapped storylines that could very well thrive and flourish on the small screen with the faith of a strong studio.
Indeed, it’s hard to think that the cash wouldn’t be there for the taking, especially »

Co-writer/director Marcus Dunstan has promised that The Collection will offer fans of his cult-favorite horror, The Collector, an even bigger, better, and more terrifying moviegoing experience. The first film opened in a challenging 2009 summer spot, competing for weeks with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, flying under the radar. Despite modest box office returns, The Collector still found its intended audience through post-release word of mouth.
Horror in the original Collector movie drew heavily on Dunstan and co-writer Patrick Melton’s Saw series pedigree (they penned Saw IV - Saw 3D): victims face a house full of sadistic booby traps – where panic and fear often result in gory mayhem. However, in The Collection, Dunstan and Melton expand on the mythos by taking the story to the ...

After weeks and weeks of publicity, it's really, truly, finally the beginning of the end -- "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" hit theaters on Thursday night with a bang. The fifth and final film in the franchise brought in an estimated $30.4 million in evening and midnight runs, making it the third-highest grossing overnight opening of all time -- behind only "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" ($43.5 mil) and "The Dark Knight Rises" ($30.6 mil). Estimates have the movie bringing in nearly $150 mil over the weekend, the highest of the series. The conclusion to the tale that made Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner household names has been drawing mostly negative reviews from critics, but that definitely hasn't stopped Twihards from showing up in droves for the flick. Will you be seeing "Twilight" this weekend? Are you sad that the franchise has come to an end? Let us know below, »

There's a certain magical quality to modern day drugs. The tiniest prescribed pill can cure a multitude of medical problems, whilst the tiniest illegally-purchased pill can create the illusion you have cured a multitude of non-medical problems. So it's no wonder Hollywood loves injecting cool ideas about what sorts of human ailments — both physical and spiritual — fictional drugs might be able to treat.
In "Dredd 3D," the latest redux of comic book hero and one-man-justice-system, Judge Dredd, a narcotic named Slo-Mo has hit the streets, allowing its users to experience reality in slow motion (in the future, drug names are very literal). And this got us jonesing for a list of our favorite movie pharmaceuticals we dare you to "just say no" to.

Happy 23rd birthday to the Harry Potter superstar whose constant gay advocacy is even sweeter because he clearly thinks for himself. Daniel Radcliffe, in my opinion, is one of the gay community's coolest celebrity allies, and there are infinite reasons to dig his intelligent, articulate approach to stardom and promoting equality. We number just 23 of them here. (I went light on the Potter references because I think we all understand what tremendous blockbusters they are.)
1. Equus, the great leap (gallop?) forward
We all remember when Daniel Radcliffe became a man -- a man who really loves horses. In 2007, he starred in a West End revival of Peter Shaffer's play, and in 2008 that production came to Broadway. Controversial role? Yes. But he showed a true seriousness of purpose, and that makes him an interesting actor outside the Harry Potter realm.
2. His response to gay rumors
"It’s wonderful. I grew »

With no major blockbusters entering the market, three holdover titles dominated, with Prometheus once again top of the pile. Second weekend takings of £3.14m represent a 50% drop from the opening frame, but the more flattering story is the £9.24m it's grossed over the past seven days, to deliver a 10-day total of £15.47m. For context, that's just behind the lifetime total of Ridley Scott's Robin Hood (£15.65m), and ahead of Michael Fassbender's previous best lead role X-Men: First Class, which maxed out at £15.03m.
Dropping a mild 16%, Men in Black 3 is holding well on its third week of play. Again, its £2.53m weekend gross is less remarkable than the £7.12m it's added over the past seven days, taking advantage of the half-term holiday and indifferent weather. »
