8 More Baffling and Awkward IMdB Profile Photos

9 October 2012 2:06 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

It’s back! Checking out some of the strangest profile pictures IMdB has to offer! If you missed round one, you can check it out here. To make things a bit stranger, you might notice that IMdB has since changed the profile photos of Zach Braff, Elijah Wood, and Robin Williams. Think that the article may have had something to do with it? Here’s hoping! Though, these are much better photos of those gentlemen, wouldn’t you agree?

Now, I’ll just try to let myself in on the joke. Back when I was young and naive, I, myself, put up a resume on IMdB. It’s still there. You can still find it. There’s nothing to it but three awful pictures of my high school freshman self doing stupid poses in weird locations. So, without what I’m about to do, I have no place saying how »

Max Payne 3 Double Xp Weekend Starts Tomorrow

5 July 2012 9:52 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

Oh yes, it’s true.

The first Max Payne 3 Double Xp event is set to kick off tomorrow, Friday July 6th, and is set to end Sunday night. Players will be gaining twice the points for each kill, each bag drop, each time you put those silly Vendetta challengers to shame, and much more. If you’re grinding to hit Legendary status, be sure to play this weekend, because you’ll probably get there in no time at all.

Perhaps the best part of the Xp event, is that playing with your Crew will also double any of the Crew bonuses that you gain.

The Double Xp event will be spread out across all platforms which means Xbox Live, Psn, and PC players will all gain access to the Xp boost.

In celebration of the Double Xp weekend, Rockstar is set to live-stream the Social Club event on Friday July 6th, »

90″ Sharp Aquos Led TV is a Blu-ray Lovers Fantasy Come True

19 June 2012 12:28 PM, PDT | | See recent news »

There’s nothing that can quite compare to the feeling you get from going to the theater to watch a movie. Checking out Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol on IMAX put me right in the midst of the Dubai action, especially when Tom Cruise hung from Dubai’s landmark skyscraper facing a near 800m drop.

While people may have grown accustomed to watching films on their Android and iOS phones or iPads in recent years, Blu-ray releases will always be the domain of the TV. The most thrilling action movies just don’t capture the same intensity when shown on a smaller computer screen or a handheld device.

Sharp has continued to push the envelope on the home viewing experience. And when it comes to TV technology, size does matter.

Sharp’s latest TV holds the crown as the world’s largest TV. The 90″ Aquos Led TV is toted to be the “largest on the planet. »

Death Grip Channels ’80s Action Films

18 June 2012 8:48 AM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

I have a secret love for goofy, direct-to-video action flicks, much like the “secret” love Criminal Complex editor Jimmy Callaway has for me (thanks for the crocheted love heart, buddy – I know it was you). As a juvenile delinquent, I whittled away days going through the racks of terrible videos at the local movie shoppe, picking out anything that had the word “death,” “ninja,” or “starring Christopher Lambert” on the cover.

Luckily, with the advent of DVDs and cheaper production costs, the stream of bullshit Dtv movies has only increased. One of the more promising of these is Death Grip, the punch-baby of Eric Jacobus (Eric Jacobus presents an Eric Jacobus joint, written and directed by Eric Jacobus, starring Eric Jacobus). Jacobus has thrown a clip online of one of the fight scenes, and it’s stab-ariffic! Martial arts and knife fights go hand-in-hand like me and Chuck Liddell in »

In the battle of the summer superhero blockbusters, journalists and box-office analysts pitched the story as "The Avengers" versus "The Dark Knight Rises." Could Marvel's crazy experiment pay off? Would it be enough to stop Batman from owning the box office once again? Most had "The Dark Knight Rises" pegged to repeat the magic that was 2008's "The Dark Knight" and the phenomenon that followed, but that was before this past weekend.

When the underdog in a war for box-office supremacy takes in $207.1 million during its opening weekend, the tide tends to shift in its favor. As soon as "The Avengers" finished its record-smashing debut, "The Dark Knight Rises" became the underdog, a shoo-in for second place.
