Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005) Poster

Trivia

The performance piece that Christine Jesperson submits to the museum, in which she admits her failings to a cheering crowd, was also one of several vignettes in a sound-based art project by Miranda July. This project was played on a loop in the elevators of the Whitney Museum of American Art, as part of the museum's 2000 biennial exhibition.

Characters refer to "Laurelhurst" (misspelled on the computer screen as "Laurelhearst") and "Burnside". Both are notable areas in Portland, Oregon, where writer/director Miranda July used to live. Christine also receives a cellphone call identified as "M & F Dept Store" which probably stands for "Meier & Frank."
