Storyline

Kitty Perkins is married to Beau Crummel, the village dude, by the Justice of the Peace. As they are coming out of the office of the Justice, they see Kitty's father approaching, and, surmising that he is going to punish them, run away and finally seek shelter in a hotel, where they register under an assumed name, in order to throw the old man off the scent. Kitty goes shopping and upon returning, finds that she has forgotten the number of the room and the fake name. In order to locate the room, she tries first one and then the other. The disturbed guests are resenting the intrusion, when the situation is relieved by the appearance of Beau. The climax is reached when Kitty's father appears. They slam the door in his face and climb down the fire escape, only to be arrested for sneak thieves at the bottom of the ladder and taken into the office of the hotel. There they nearly collapse when they are confronted by Kitty's father, who, to their surprise, is not at all displeased, but on ... Written by Moving Picture World synopsis
