Funny, though slightly forgettable, 23 June 2004
8/10
Author: bsinc from Ljubljana, Slovenia

This year's Movie Awards were the funniest in a long time and it's good to see a shift in the right direction. Though there wasn't much emphasis on the hostess (who I first thought would suck ass, but turned out to be pretty cool) and though I can hardly remember a single thing or musical performance, the show turned out to be much more that I initially expected. Constant jokes and one-liners made it very entertaining to watch, plus most of the awards handed out were given to the right people. I have only one complaint, and it involves the winners themselves. It has become quite an Oscar-ish habit that most of the winners that win an award start naming the countless names that got them to where they are now, but hey all o' ya'll, remember what this show is about - HAVING FUN and ROCKING THE NIGHT AWAY. Nobody wants to hear 20 names in one minute because those names mean dick to us, we just want to hear them say why their movie was better than the rest of the nominee's - just kidding:), but if anybody remembers the old movie awards, capitalism wasn't even born then!

Keep 'em rolling. 8/10
