Informative and a must for airplane buffs
19 December 2011 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

I'd always assumed that the Wright Brothers just hit on the correct design for their airplane by chance and repetition. However, this film examines the plane and how it was actually designed using complex math, engineering and an understanding of physics. Clearly, the Brothers were FAR brighter than your average bicycle builders! And, to demonstrate how the plane was built and how it flew, a couple die-hard aviation fans decided to try to build the first Wright Model B Flyer in almost a hundred years. As the worked, the narrator explained what they were doing and ultimately you get to see their first hair-raising flight. Overall, an interesting film for its historical value and a great film for airplane buffs. Well made and I'd like to see a follow-up film on the progress of this project.
