The Karate Kid episode was clearly the highlight of this series. Two roommates (Brett Gloden and Trent Caldwell) both big fans of the original "Karate Kid" film get to relive their movie fantasy by training in the martial arts and having a showdown ala the film. This episode features a Master from Japan as well as up and coming Martial arts sensation and 7th degree American master Thomas Carrano,of The Hoteikan Dojo in Bay Ridge-Brooklyn, as the respective teachers of each student. The episode moves along nicely as both roommates are really very earnest in their desire to learn...and beat the heck out of each other!Other Martial artists/actors appearing are Mr. Carranos students and son and cousin,Anthony and Vincent Carrano (commercials, stage and indie film actors). The finally of the show is a face off between the two friends and I'm not telling you how it ends... This is the episode to catch and AMC usually runs the Film right after, which is a great touch.Kudos to AMC for finding authentic Karate masters for the show!!
