Hitters Anonymous, was a lot of Fun. Yes it is a so called Dark Comedy,it has it's serious moments, but it's a lot of fun. The audience laughs and cheers during parts of the movie. You can believe in the characters, and have a good time going along for the ride. The acting was great, both named principals and the local talent used in this independent did a great job. Steven Bauer, Linda Blair, and Clint Howard did commendable jobs in their prime rolls, local talent from Palm Beach County and South Florida fill out the cast strongly. Michele Matheson, Sarahi Diaz, Tom Nowicki, Steve DuMochel, Jeffery William Evans, Justine Eyre, Santara Sidersky and others turned in excellent performances - interpreting their respective characters. Producer/Writer/Director Monte Young turned out a well executed (pardon the pun) film. Filmed principally if not completely in Palm Beach County Florida, the film had a good look. Photography, Editing, and Music were admirable. The film premiered at the Palm Beach International Film Festival April 17,2005, to two sold out theaters, the audience reactions were tremendous (at least in the theater I was in) and individuals in the second theater had equal reactions I was told. The technical and creative proficiency of post-production showed in the overall quality of the film.
