1 April 2017 1:43 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

No, folks, this is not an April fools day joke. A movie called The Jurassic Games has started production. And it promises to mashup the best elements of popular franchises The Hunger Games and Jurassic World. It doesn't sound like your typical spoof, either, but instead will be an on-the-level sci-fi action thriller. Though, probably not with the big budget VFX you're used to seeing at the local cinema.

We have the official PR for you here, with the movie coming from Galen Christy's High Octane Pictures, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (Of+Mo). They state that they've officially kicked off production on Ryan Bellgardt's amazing sounding The Jurassic Games.

Starring Ryan Merriman (Final Destination 3) and Perrey Reeves (Entoutrage), the film imagines a world set in the near future wherein ten Death Row convicts are chosen to compete in The Jurassic Games, the ultimate »

Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 9 Review: Bound by Blood

28 February 2017 2:45 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Never make a blood oath. It's a rule of thumb we should all follow!

Clary should know better than to have made a deal blindly. After the events on Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 9, I don't think she ever will.

It nearly killed her and hurt everyone.

"Bound by Blood" played on the theme of curses and forced motivations.

I liked that these characters, while flawed but genuinely nice people, had a looming threat forcing their choices. More often than not it was for a bad reason. They had no choice but to come to a decision.

Clary going through the blood oath put everything into perspective for her. Life and death aren't so simple. And her life impacts everyone if she touches the sword.

I loved the subtle coincidence of the curse starting to affect her hand. It was a great reminder of the dangerous power she holds. She could destroy worlds with a single touch. »
