All the world seem glad to John Greason when his sweetheart, Alma Reeves, whispers the magic "yes." Straightway they confide the glad news to Alma's parents, who add their blessings and well wishes. A shadow of sadness enters both young lives when John leaves for the west to make his fortune. Arriving there, John, inspired by his love, soon proves his worth and after meeting with success sends for Alma to join him. Then come glad days of expectation and preparation. All the town knows John and his romance and when the day of Alma's arrival comes, a goodly array of friendly cowboys go with him to the station. But fate rides on the train with Alma. The train is wrecked and her young life goes out. The news is broken to John, waiting at the station. Bereft of his reason by the terrible shock, John is led away by his sympathetic friends, back to his little cabin. Daily thereafter for many weeks the racked lover makes his pilgrimage to the station eager to catch the first glimpse of his beloved Alma. A merciful death, with its soothing touch, ends the futile longings of the faithful lover.
