Britain's Finest Actors and Actresses
6 September 2005 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

There were apparently five episodes of this short series, but the only two I were interested in were Britain's Finest Actors and Actresses. Hosted by Fay Ripley (Actors) and Simon Callow (Actresses) was very good and both appeared contributions by Billy Connolly, Mark Kermode and Karen Krizanovich. On the Actors list appeared Cary Grant, Peter Sellers, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Alec Guinness, deserved number one Anthony Hopkins and many others, including some only mentioned, but should have been on, e.g. Sir Sean Connery and Sir Michael Caine. On the Actresses list appeared Dame Helen Mirren, Julie Walters, deserved number one Dame Judi Dench and many others, also with mentions, e.g. Kate Winslet and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Very good!
