Hugh Laurie Never Expected 'House M.D.' to Last So Long

29 December 2010 1:06 AM, PST | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

Hugh Laurie never expected "House M.D." to last so long. The 51-year-old actor moved to Los Angeles alone for the show in 2003, leaving wife Jo and their three children in the U.K., and admits he wasn't prepared for the effects of his success.

"You have to go where the work is and sacrifice time with your friends and family," he said. "I never thought this would last seven years, just two weeks I thought. I get tired of getting up at four in the morning. Some days are harder than others."

Despite not enjoying every aspect of his success, Hugh still retains a fondness for Dr. Gregory House, the character he plays in the U.S. drama. He added, "House's capacity for emotional closeness sis very limited. But he's trying. He's 51 and thinking of becoming a father to his girlfriend Lisa's adopted daughter."

She rocked the red carpet, whose color has been traded into a blue one for the special occasion, in an asymmetric sequined Armani mini dress that she paired with Stella McCartney heels.

The 26-year-old, who is also known as Thirteen on "House M.D.", was snapped snuggling up to co-star Jeff Bridges when posing with him on the blue carpet. Jeff himself, who came to the premiere wrapped in a leather jacket, returned the friendly »

The Dallas Cowboys, 'Megamind' And 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' In Today's Twitter-Wood

8 November 2010 1:42 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

The Dallas Cowboys fell to 1-7 after losing to the Green Bay Packers Sunday, and their fans and foes alike in Twitter-Wood let out a collective groan. Sometimes it's hard to tell who's who these days, but Danny Masterson and Omar Epps both tried to speak some truth about the matter.

In other news, Ice-t's plea for an early copy of "Call of Duty: Black Ops" seems to have paid off. He tweeted a pic with the results, which you should find far less shocking than a self-portrait shared by "Weird Al" Yankovic. Gaze upon it if your dare after the jump along with Justin Bieber's reaction to "Megamind" and what Frankie Muniz plans on doing with the money he saved on his car insurance.

'Supernatural': Doctor Castiel cares about your feelings, kind of

2 November 2010 4:50 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

He's not exactly Dr. House, but on this Friday's "Supernatural" episode, Castiel (Misha Collins) will have to do the diagnostics.

In the clip below, Sam (Jared Padalecki) wakes up after Dean (Jensen Ackles) beat him up, bewildered to find that the guys who are usually on his side have got him tied to a chair. Dean doesn't have a lot of sympathy for Sam's confusion, but fortunately, Sam doesn't feel betrayed.

In fact, Sam doesn't feel much of anything, except for maybe his broken nose.

Sam has never been one to get a full eight hours of sleep -- over the last few seasons he's been plagued by nightmares, visions, and visitors... plus, he's snuck out of the motel while Dean was asleep on more than one occasion. Still, that seems like nothing when he reveals that he hasn't slept at all since he got out of hell.

If you’re anything like me, You’re both elated and a bit wary at the fact that 20th Century Fox has decided to make a live-action remake of the 1998 anime classic Cowboy Bebop. (Note: Don’T Panic!! I doubt this remake could be anywhere near as bad as Dragonball: Evolution was. I promise.) If you’re even More like me, You’ve been mulling over the yet to be announced cast picks.
