Storyline

Life is laid bare as a group of plane crash survivors find themselves stranded on a remote Pacific island. The trauma of the crash soon becomes overshadowed by the island itself, where unseen creatures stalk the jungle, paranormal happenings abound and astonishing coincidences reveal themselves. In this unique environment emotions swell as the survivors battle their inner and outer demons, and strive to live together - so that they won't die alone. Written by Tobias Stapleford

Most over rated confusing piece of rubbish i have ever had the misfortune to watch
24 May 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Lost must be one of the most over rated piece of convoluted rubbish I have ever seen in my life. Rather than having a coherent idea the writers just threw together as many sci-fi elements as possible and hoped to create some sort of story. Those clever enough amongst us realised that the series was going no where and switched off after the 50th flashback fleshing out a character who inevitably died 3 episodes later without their reason for being included ever being explained. And so we trundle on to the final episode and what do we get? Absolutely nothing, no explanation about any of the mumbo jumbo that has been forced into our brains over the last 6 years. Instead we get some half baked attempt at sentimentality that is meant to pave over the enormous cracks that are the storyline of Lost. And the worst thing? The idiots who rather than admit that they have been watching probably one of the worst written shows in living memory start jamming together pieces of a jigsaw in order to pretend that they "get it" and are therefore on some higher intellectual plane than the rest of us mere mortals who prefer a TV show to have a story that makes sense and ultimately a point. Unfortunately these cretins seems to defend the show as though it was their favourite child ignoring the fact that nothing was explained satisfactorily last night by saying "it wasn't about the mysteries it was about the characters" and refusing to answer the question of "well what was the point of the mysteries then?". Word to these idiots just because you don't understand what is going on in a show doesn't mean it is deep and meaningful it usually just means it is bad. And I'm sorry but calling it the "BEST finale ever" and the "Best show ever" despite its obvious flaws just makes you pretty sad. I have read through a hundred posts with 50 different theories and it made me realise that the Lost finale could have simply showed a dog urinating against a tree for 2 hours and these fools would still have wound their theories around it, looking for some deeper meaning before waving their dunce caps in the air proudly declaring "I thought about it all last night and this afternoon and it suddenly clicked" (seriously the guy who posted that needs to get out more). So goodbye Lost for those of us with half a brain we will see you as the greatest TV con of recent times. For those "clever" people (almost god like apparently) who "got" you they will too mourn your passing and then combat the real problems in their lives like dealing with excessive dribbling and learning to tie their own shoe laces.
