This is a truly disappointing film. What should have been an edge of the seat thriller turns out to be a second rate movie of the week fiasco. Whats even more baffling is the director's indecisiveness as to just what audience the picture is aimed at. One moment its trying to be the poor man's Se7en as the detectives try to figure out whats going on at the grisly crime scenes, the next it resembles a slightly edgier version of the Red Hand Gang, with the chief investigator's 10 year old son getting in on the act. The only interesting piece in the entire film was the Zodiac killer's emergence on two unsuspecting lovers on a clear sunny day. Quite unnerving. But without a doubt the best part for me came when the credits started rolling and I could turn off the DVD player and watch something more riveting like an episode of Scooby Doo or Captain Caveman. Absolute Tripe.
