I liked it

I laughed out loud. I'd like to hear from a Vietnam vet. This is like MASH only more realistic. I loved MASH too, but it is essentially soft-centred and I was very young at its release . I can't wait for the Iraq version. My only problem is the resolution. The transfer out should have been much more chaotic.

I think it is unusual for a war film to deal with the random bureaucratic chaos of military life. It's not very heroic and survival is a matter of chance.

There is a lot of chaos and random stupidity in Apocalypse Now, for example, but in the end the story is about heroism and idealism gone wrong.
