Quotes

Scully: What are you thinking? Mulder?
Mulder: I'm thinking... I'm a guilty man. I've failed in every respect. I deserve the harshest punishment for my crimes.
Scully: You don't believe that.
Mulder: I believe... that I sat in a motel room like this with you when we first met... and I tried to convince you of the truth. And in that respect, I succeeded, but... in every other way... I've failed.
Scully: You don't believe that, either.
Mulder: Mm. I've been chasing after monsters with a butterfly net. You heard the man - the date's set. I ...

X-Files :The Truth I can't live with!
18 October 2004 | by (New York, U.S.A.) – See all my reviews

First let me start in saying I was an original. I even have the TV Spots that advertised the X-Files pilot show. I have every season on disc, and watch them all the time. The separate story lines were great as stand alone episodes, but the Alien Conspiracy was the meat & potatoes of the show. It was professionally written and well acted. But after Mulder was kidnapped and enter Agent Doggett and Agent Reyes, I think that Chris Carter was so afraid that those two characters weren't going to be accepted, his writing started to slip a little. Unlike other reviews, I enjoyed Scully's baby and that whole storyline. The Super soldier storyline actually dates back to the very first season. But, it was dropped and forgotten until the last two seasons, which the first show, which was good by the way was with Lucy Lawless. But, it seemed the Super soldier storyline ended to abruptly in the last two hour show. What, just one Super Soldier, that's it? And, why did the helicopters shoot at the mountain range at the end. They couldn't have known Smoking Man was in there. And were did Mulder & Scully go??? And what becomes of Agent Doggett & Reyes?. So, in the end, the truth really wasn't fully told to my satisfaction! But, maybe there's plans to continue the adventures of Mulder & Scully in the works, to go along with the new Movie that will be out in 2006. Who Knows??? Cancerman might. Rumor has it, the man in the mountain at the end was just an alien clone. Do you think?????
