Another exciting casting for Fox’s 24 reboot Live Another Day: Michelle Fairley is joining the show in a major villainous role.
She’ll play Margo, the British widow of a notorious terrorist. This is a role that was previously filled by actress Judy Davis, who had to exit the production due for personal reasons.

Jack Bauer is back and stuff is blowing up, that’s more or less the message we’ve gathered from the four teasers for 24: Live Another Day that aired during tonight’s Super Bowl. The highly anticipated “event” series, a sequel to 24‘s eight year run on Fox, will follow a fugitive Jack Bauer sucked back into the fight against global terror while in London. Many key cast members from the series are returning, including Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devane, but what trouble will they get up to? Let’s find out.

Arguably one of the biggest television events of 2014 will be the return of Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer in Fox’s event series, 24: Live Another Day. Fans of the show have waited patiently for 24 to receive a proper conclusion ever since season eight ended on a cliffhanger back in 2010.
The 12-part follow-up picks up four years later and will see Bauer head to London to face a new threat. Shooting has now begun in the capital, leading to the first waves of set photos. As you may expect, they feature the former CTU agent is a typically bloodied state.
Joining Sutherland will be Mary Lynn Rajskub (Firewall), Kim Raver (Revolution) and William Devane (The Dark Knight Rises) reprising their original roles, while newcomers include Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter), Giles Matthey (Jobs), Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire), Michael Wincott (The Crow) and Judy Davis (Life with Judy Garland). Fans of 24 have been patiently waiting for the series to receive a proper conclusion ever since season 8 ended on a cliffhanger way back in 2010. For years, a big screen continuation was promised, but numerous attempts to bring Jack Bauer back to life failed again and again (everything from script issues to Kiefer Sutherland being unhappy with the amount of money Fox were offering were given as the reason why).

The official press release also confirms earlier reports that it will be both set and shot in London, with the focus again on Jack as “he attempts to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever.”
