It’s a simple premise: three friends find themselves stuck on a ski lift. With nobody coming to their aid and temperatures quickly dropping, they must make a decision on how they’re going to survive, or freeze to death mid-air. See? Simple.
The new trailer for Frozen however, gave me the kind of chills normally reserved for a scary supernatural horror, and while it doesn’t give to much away about the story, it certainly leaves an impression.
Starring Shawn Ashmore, who you may remember from the X-Men series, Kevin Zegers of “Transamerica” and “Dawn of the Dead” fame and Emma Bell, the film is written and directed by Adam Green. Check out the trailer below:
A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights,

A poster for Hatchet director Adam Green's Frozen has been making the rounds, and now Fango has a look at the unmarked image. The filmmakers sent over the artwork last night fresh off of their debut at the recent Butt-Numb-a-Thon in Austin. For those just getting in on the action, Cody Blue Snider posted three exclusive blogs from the set of the film (read 'em here: One, Two, Three) and you can get some of Kane Hodder's thoughts on the film right here.
See the poster and details below. Frozen opens February 5, 2010 from Anchor Bay.

With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make their move, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die?

Poll: Who'll win the Golden Globe for best drama actor? George Clooney? Jeff Bridges?

The reason that "Up in the Air" soared off with the most Golden Globe nominations is obvious: Everybody's gone Clooney-crazy this year. So doesn't that mean that George will automatically win best drama actor?
Hold your horses, Derbyites! Golden Globe voters like to spread their gold around. As things stand now, most pundits predict that "Up in the Air" will win best drama picture. Sometimes voters give out a best-actor bookend with the Globe prize (Leo DiCaprio won for best picture champ "The Aviator," Russell Crowe won for best pic "A Beautiful Mind"), but often they don't (Crowe didn't win for best pic "Gladiator").
Globe voters like big, hambone performances, the showier the better, like the last two previous winners: Mickey Rourke ("The Wrestler") and Daniel Day-Lewis ("There Will Be Blood"). If that same pattern repeats, then Jeff Bridges has the edge for stumbling around drunk, flashing lots of ham

Is Gossip Girl on its way back up the quality ladder? It certainly seems that way. Last week’s episode was really good. And, Gg fans, I’m prepared to say that this week’s installment bordered on great. And the threesome was even better in flashback form! Plus, they added a new character and he wasn’t a dud! In fact, the dude was hot like fire. Chrismukkah has come early!
The major story of the evening was the fallout after the Dan/Olivia/Vanessa threesome. Olivia started to become jealous of Vanessa and Dan’s relationship which basically

The success of this year's Paranormal Activity and The Haunting in Connecticut will surely be paving the way for a year's-worth of tales about spirits going bump in the night.
The folks at Rot & Decay Films (a helluva banner name) informed us they are in pre-production on Foreclosure from writer and director Richard Ledes. His film centers around a broken family striving to stay together while the curse and ghosts of a haunted house try to tear them apart.
Ledes enlisted cinematographer Steve Kazmierski ( Transamerica ) and composer Robert Miller ( Whip It ) to help him out with a teaser trailer that is now at GhostsDontMoveOut.com (or you can see it below).
Michelle Williams and Meat Loaf starred in Ledes' first film, A Hole in One , about a woman who wants a

I was amazed by the transformation of Kevin Zegers from teen idol to serious actor. Two feature films should be credited for this amazing transition - Fifty Dead Men Walking and The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll. While Fifty Dead Men gave us a glimpse into Kevin's serious side as an actor, Perfect Age gave us his most important acting vehicle to date.

In The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll, the story centers on a rock star (Zegers) who retreats to his Long Island hometown after his sophomore album flops. Cinematical was quite skeptical about the casting:
Just what would you expect from a white, cutie student from The Jane Austen Book Club (or the dysfunctional son from Transamerica) and Spike Lee? Believe it or not, Lee is executive producing a new indie film called The Perfect Age of Rock 'n' Roll,

Gossip Girl's Little J gets a new bad-boy beau

We really haven't seen that much of Jenny Humphrey, aka Little J, on this season of Gossip Girl, but hopefully that will change. Actor Kevin Segers is set to join the Upper East Siders, and I'm sure he'll stir up plenty of trouble.
His rep says he'll be joining the show for a multi-episode arc as bad-boy Damien (why are bad boys always named Damien?), who will get tangled up with Jenny (Taylor Momsen).
Zegers has been working steadily in the movie and TV business since the early 1990s, in shows like House, M.D. and Smallville, and in movies like The Jane Austen Book Club and Transamerica, in which he played transexual Felicity Huffman's son Toby. And if you look closely, you'll recognize him as Josh Framm from the Air Bud movies.
In short, not only is Zegers cute as all get out, but he's talented, as well.

Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick will get along with another guy in "Gossip Girl". Kevin Zegers has joined the TV series for a multi-episode arc, his representative has confirmed. He is billed to play Damien, who is described as an international bad-boy love interest of Taylor Momsen's Jenny Humphrey. Sources said the actor will start shooting later this week.
Kevin Zegers, who is famous for his starring role in 1997 movie "Air Bud", previously has appeared as a guest star in TV series "The X-Files". Playing a major role in "Transamerica", he won a gong at 2006 Cannes Film Festival Chopard Award for his portrayal of a street hustling bisexual son of a male-to-female transsexual. Recently, he has signed in to play Clyde Barrow in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde".
As for "Gossip Girl", its third season has been premiered on September 14. Some actors who have been announced to appear

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Gossip Girl" has hired Kevin Zegers who will be a new love interest for Taylor Momsen's character, little Jenny Humphrey. Kevin will play a character named Damien, and will be Jenny's international love interest for multiple episodes. He will also be a bad boy.
What's interesting is that Kevin Zegers is 25 years old in real life, while Taylor is only 16. So I'm wondering how awkward that will be. Hmmm. Nevertheless, Taylor Momsen's Jenny Humphrey character will get more onscreen time, coming up here, pretty soon.
Kevin Zegers past acting credits include roles in "TransAmerica," "The Jane Austen Book Club," "50 Dead Men Walking," and "The Narrows."
